Frozen water pipe,
Dry, cracked, leaf-strewn desert ground,
Wishing for snow fall.

The Story Behind the Verse

How sad I felt in late November, when the weather app displayed freezing temperatures and no snow. Plus, our water intake pipe had frozen (temporarily).

I stared at the “0% Precipitation” indicator, wished for snow to cover the brown, dry ground, and I wrote this little verse.

It’s been a rough year, 2020, in so many ways. But, this year’s drought has been devastating.
