I’ve heard it before.

You think you’re so smart. You think you’re always right.

No, I don’t think I’m so smart. I don’t think I’m always right. His narcissism can’t deal with the fact that he’s sometimes wrong.

I wipe the sweat from my forehead before meeting with my boss.

The Story Behind this Story

I wrote this little story to help me get a hurtful scenario at work out of my head, onto a blank page, and send it off into cyberspace. It helped. When we writers get together to chat, we often talk about how writing heals us, cleans up our inner world, and helps us with our self talk.

And, when I saw Gerd Altmann’s image on Pixabay, I laughed. It captured how I felt about the person’s hurtful words; just blah, blah, blah.
