“Got a problem. Patches keeps swatting the discs.”
“I’ll be right over.”
She walked in with a box.
“That’s not his carrier.”

The Story Behind this Story
The prompt for the 27th was “the funniest gift”. Wow. This wasn’t easy. I really struggled with this prompt, and I’m the one who chose it.
I enjoy jokes, and listening to others tell funny stories. My darling husband, Mark, and I have been married over 20 years, and he still makes me laugh.
But me? Humorous? Funny? I don’t think I am. So, how did I come up with a story for the prompt “the funniest gift”?
I humbled myself, prayed, and begged for help. This story is a start, and for 2020, I plan to read more humor works, expose myself to more comedy, and try my hand at funny stories more often.
