Baby’s pleasing giggle
Echoes sweet in the forest
Bursting rays of sunshine.

The Story Behind this Haiku
Some members of my online writing community, Scribophile, participate in a long-running discussion thread titled “Haiku Challenge”.
How does the Challenge work? A member, let’s use the name John, writes a haiku verse (usually 5-7-5). The next member, I’ll use the name Jane, takes the last line from John’s verse and uses it as the first line in her/Jane’s verse.
The Challenge is fun, and I’m grateful to my fellow “Scribbers” who help me sharpen my skills. They have kept the Challenge thread going for five (5) years! I’m sure it will continue for another half decade.
